Services And Procedures

Eastpointe Radiologists is committed to providing the highest level of service with state of the art technology to meet your imaging needs.  We offer comprehensive diagnostic and interventional radiology services in both hospital and outpatient imaging settings.

Breast Imaging

Eastpointe Radiologists offers comprehensive women’s imaging services include screening and digital mammography, 3D breast tomosynthesis, breast ultrasound, breast MRI and image guided biopsies.

CT

Computed Tomography (CT) scan and Computed Tomography Angiography (CTA) is a non-invasive advanced test that utilizes x-ray technology to obtain detailed cross sectional images of the body.

MRI

Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) and Magnetic Resonance Angiography (MRA) are non-invasive test that utilizes strong magnetic fields and radio waves to produce clear and detailed images of the organs, soft tissues, vessels and bones.

Fluoroscopy

Fluoroscopy uses a continuous x-ray beam to capture moving body parts in real time, allowing the radiologist to observe the function and anatomy of internal organs. Some common exams include upper gastrointestinal exam, barium enema, and intravenous urogram.

Vascular And Interventional

Radiologists perform minimally-invasive procedures using image guidance to diagnose and treat diseases. This minimizes risk to the patient with less pain and recovery time compared to open surgery.

Nuclear Medicine

Nuclear medicine uses radioactive isotope that are injected, ingested, or inhaled into the body to diagnose and treat diseases. The radioactive material accumulates in the target organ and is detected by special a gamma camera to produces images on a computer. Some common exams include bone scan, cardiac scan, hepatobiliary scan, thyroid and parathyroid scan, PET/CT scan, and radioisotope therapies.

Ultrasound

Images of the body are created using high frequency sound waves. This technique does not involve the use of ionizing radiation. Images are obtained in real time and can observe motion to assess function and anatomy. Common exams include abdomen and pelvis, scrotum, thyroid, breast. vessels, neck, and extremities.

Vein Care

Our experienced and board certified Eastpointe radiologists perform therapeutic and cosmetic vein treatments with minimally invasive techniques using image guidance and state of the art equipment. Endovenous laser treatment and sclerotherapy options are available.

X-Ray

Plain film x-rays are a quick and cost effective method to evaluate for illness or injury on all body parts. Common exams include x-rays of the chest, abdomen, and extremities.

DEXA

Dual energy X-ray absorptiometry (DEXA) is a technique used to measure and monitor changes in bone density. With increasing age, there is gradual loss of bone mineral density which can lead to osteoporosis. Patients at risk for osteoporosis or fractures are commonly referred for a DEXA scan.

Women’s Imaging

Our board certified radiologists specialize in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases specific to women. Some common exams for women's care include gynecological pelvic ultrasound and obstetrical ultrasounds, breast imaging and breast biopsies, bone densitometry, and uterine fibroid embolization.

Pediatrics

Eastpointe Radiologists is staffed with 2 board certified pediatric radiologists that are specially trained to interpret pediatric images and provide an accurate diagnosis. Our pediatric radiologists employ techniques to lower radiation dose for your child and to avoid unnecessary tests.
